ABOUT SULAWESI

Sulawesi is not for everyone. It`s for you.

Among Indonesia’s thousands of islands, Sulawesi stands out – not because it’s the most well-known, but because it’s still full of genuine surprises. It’s a place where ancient traditions meet raw, untouched nature; where remote mountain villages, volcanic highlands, and coral-fringed coastlines invite you to slow down and experience a different rhythm of life.

I’ve spent many years exploring this island, and the more I return, the more I realize how much there is still to discover. Whether you’re witnessing the powerful rituals of the Toraja people in the highlands, diving the vibrant reefs around Bunaken or Wakatobi, or simply sharing a coffee with locals in a small village – Sulawesi offers moments that feel personal, real, and unforgettable.

One of the most rewarding parts of traveling here is the people. Their warmth, curiosity, and hospitality stay with you long after the journey ends. Over time, I’ve built strong friendships with local guides, drivers, and families across the island – connections that make each visit deeper and more meaningful.

EXPLORE SULAWESI

World-Class Diving, Unique Cultures & Untamed Wilderness

Sulawesi is not a typical tourist destination – and that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s ideal for those who seek authenticity, adventure, and cultural depth. The island is vast and diverse, and every region feels like its own world: from the jungle-covered north to the mystical southern highlands, the spice-scented central coastlines to the lesser-traveled east.

World class diving & marine diversity
Regions like Bunaken, Lembeh Strait, Wakatobi, Togean and Banggai are among the best in the Coral Triangle—offering rare sea creatures, vibrant reefs, muck-diving and wreck sites—ideal for affluent divers and underwater photographers

Unique cultural immersion
Tana Toraja’s cliff burials, buffalo markets, traditional houses, and elaborate funerary rites draw culturally curious travelers seeking authentic, exclusive experiences

Spectacular terrain & off-grid wilderness
Karst landscapes in Rammang Rammang, Bada’s jungle full of megaliths, active volcano hikes, and Tangkoko’s wildlife including tarsiers and macaques offer premium adventure options
